About Kristin:
I’m a 23-year-old bibliophile who has an obsession with the internet and too many hobbies.
I graduated from the University of Kentucky in December 2009 with a BA in English. From January 2010 to March 2011 I interned at the University Press of Kentucky. I hope to one day go into editing, but for now I’m just trying to pin down a full-time job.
I started this blog hoping to share my passions, document my journey as I learn new things, and start taking myself a little less seriously.
I love baking, cooking, crocheting, painting, reading, and cats. And pretty much anything fluffy or cute. I also spend a large portion of my free time reading fitness/nutrition blogs and learning more on those topics.
I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in early 2010 and have been learning how to live a healthy life with my disease. As of yet, it is not completely under control, but I am working with a Rheumatologist to hopefully attain that goal.
About the blog name:
A Wind in the Door is a book by Madeleine L’Engle. It is the second book in a series called The Time Quartet, which also includes A Wrinkle in Time, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, and Many Waters. A Wrinkle in Time is probably my favorite book of all time, but that name was already taken when I started this blog, so I moved on to the next book instead.
